Cape Breton Regional Police are dealing with a second report of tampered Halloween candy. Police say they were contacted on Thursday night by a Sydney Mines woman who said that her son had discovered a pin in a candy bar. Police add the child had been trick or treating on DeMarco, Ocean and Atlantic Streets, as well as on Lannigan’s Lane and Georges River Road. Police were already investigating a report that a sewing needle had been discovered in a candy bar that was picked up in the Pierce St. area of North Sydney. Meanwhile, police in the Halifax area are investigating four reports of tampered Halloween candy.
