Another Blue Lobster Caught Off CB

Another blue lobster has been caught off Cape Breton.

Scott MacKinnon and Sonya Weiss from Sydney Mines found the oddly coloured crustacean in their trap on Sunday.

The discovery comes after long-time fisherman Blaine Marsh found a blue lobster in his trap off the coast of Alder Point on Friday.

The lobster that MacKinnon and Weiss caught has been named Opal and will sit out the rest of the lobster season in a fisheries pound.

The couple says they’ll release him back into the ocean once lobster season is over.

They add the lobster is not the same one caught by Marsh because that one was undersize.

The chance of catching a blue lobster is listed as about one in two million.
