Alumni Association Comments On Looming CBU Faculty Strike

The Cape Breton University Alumni Association is speaking out about tomorrow’s planned strike by faculty.

Alumni Association president Brandon Ellis says the Association is concerned about the potential strike.

Ellis says students that are focused on their studies don’t need the increased anxiety and uncertainty of a strike.

He says both sides should be actively at the bargaining table at this point.

The Faculty Association says its more than 230 members plan to walk off the job at 6:30 tomorrow morning with the outstanding issue in contract talks being wages.
