Accused in North Sydney Beating Case Released on Bail

One of the people charged in connection with a brutal assault on a homeless man in North Sydney has been released after a bail hearing yesterday.

 

47-year-old Gordon William Bobbitt faces a charge of obstruction of justice in the case.

 

He’s been released on recognizance and is due back in court on August 28th to enter a plea.

 

 34-year-old James Darren Clarke also faces a count of obstruction of justice in the case.

 

Clarke will remain in custody after a court appearance yesterday while he awaits another bail hearing that’s scheduled for August 12th.

 

Regional Police have charged a total of six people after 48-year-old Shawn Curtis Jack was found seriously injured in a North Sydney parking lot on July 14th.

 

Jack is now recovering in a Halifax hospital.
