Accused in North Sydney Beating Case Due To Enter Plea

A North Sydney man charged in connection with the beating of a homeless man in North Sydney is due back in court today to enter a plea.   47-year-old Gordon William Bobbitt is charged with obstruction of justice in the case and was released on conditions after a court appearance, last month.   Meanwhile, another North Sydney man also charged with obstruction in the case has consented to further remand after a court appearance, yesterday.   34-year-old James Darren Clarke is accused of hiding a wrench that police believe was used in the attack on 48-year-old Shawn Curtis Jack on July 14th.   Clarke is due back in court on September 8th.   Jack remains in a Halifax hospital after suffering serious injuries in the attack.   Regional Police have charged a total of six people in connection to the assault.
