by Longtime Cape Breton musician and songwriter Matt Minglewood is being appointed to the Order of Nova Scotia.
Minglewood is one of ten appointees to the Order announced today.
The Lieutenant Governor’s Office says Minglewood is being recognized for his contributions to Nova Scotia’s music and cultural identity.
He’s also being honoured for his longstanding support of communities and charitable causes.
Minglewood and the other appointees will be formally invested into the Order of Nova Scotia during a ceremony this fall.
