Man Arrested & Charged After Dominion Credit Union Robbery

Regional Police have now charged a 61-year-old man after a robbery at the Dominion Credit Union yesterday morning.

Joseph Gerard Gallant faces counts of robbery, wearing a disguise with intent, operating a motorcycle while prohibited and 3 breaches of probation.

Police say they got called to the credit union at around 11:30 where staff reported a man approached the counter wearing a mask and demanded money.

They say he left the building with an amount of cash, and no one was injured.

Police say they were able to identify a suspect with information from the scene and witnesses, as well as video surveillance, and Gallant was later arrested at a home in Victoria Mines.
