Diesel Up After Interrupter Used Again

The price of diesel went up overnight for the second time in two days as the Energy Board used its interrupter clause again.

Diesel took a big jump of 10.6 cents a litre and now goes for a minimum of $2.22.8 in Cape Breton.

The Energy Board says last night’s change was necessary because of a significant shift in the market price for diesel as was the case on Monday night into Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the price of gas didn’t change.

Gas still goes for a minimum of $1.85 a litre on the Island.
