The latest figures from the Health Authority show the number of people in the province on the waiting list for a family doctor or nurse practitioner dropped between June 1st and July 1st.
Nova Scotia Health says there were 58,473 people on the Need a Family Practice Registry as of the first of this month.
That’s a drop of 2,106 compared to June 1st.
The percentage of the population on the registry is now 5.3%.
The next update on the registry will come in early August.
