Statistics Canada says the national inflation rate in May was 3.2%.
That’s up from 2.8% in April.
The federal agency says higher prices for gas continued to drive inflation last month.
However, it says, excluding gas, inflation still rose at a faster pace year over year in May at 2.2% compared with 2% in April.
Meanwhile, Nova Scotia’s inflation rate in May was a whopping 5.2%.
