Diesel Down After Interrupter Clause Invoked

The price of diesel took a big drop overnight after the Nova Scotia Energy Board used its interrupter clause to change the price early this week.

Diesel went down by 7 cents a litre and now goes for a minimum of $1.74.6 in Cape Breton.

The Energy Board says the early price adjustment was necessary because of significant changes in the market price for diesel.

Meanwhile, the price of gas didn’t change.

A litre of gas still goes for a minimum of $1.47.1 on the Island.
