The province has reduced this year’s rebate from 600 to 400 dollars.
It’s also lowered the income threshold for eligibility.
Last year, applications were open to families making $75,000 or less a year after tax and single-person households earning a net, annual income of $55,000 or less.
This year, the rebate is open to families earning a combined net, annual income of up to $45,000, and single-person households earning an after tax income of up to $30,000 a year.
