Two Fires In Glace Bay In A Matter Of Hours

Firefighters are on the scene of a fire at the former Morrison High School in Glace Bay this morning.

Some homes in the area have been evacuated and Regional Police are asking people to stay away from the area.

This morning’s fire is the second in Glace Bay in the last several hours.

Firefighters battled a blaze at an old storage building and trailers near Highland Fisheries in Glace Bay, overnight.

The building is believed to be owned by Ka’Le Bay Seafoods Ltd.

The cause of both fires isn’t known at this time and there are no reports of injuries.
