As predicted, the price of gas and diesel went up overnight.
Gas jumped by 6.4 cents a litre and now goes for a minimum of $1.47.6 in Cape Breton.
Diesel took an even bigger jump of 9.5 cents after going up 7.6 cents shortly after midnight on Tuesday when the Energy Board used its interrupter clause to raise the price.
The minimum price for a litre of diesel on the Island is now $1.58.3.
