by RCMP say a man and woman from British Columbia died after the SUV they were driving collided with a tractor trailer near Baddeck earlier this week.
They say they responded to a call shortly after 6:00 on Monday night about the crash on a section of the Trans-Canada in Baddeck Inlet.
The 45-year-old man and 49-year-old woman in the SUV were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the driver of the tractor trailer did not report any injuries.
They say their investigation continues and any witnesses who haven’t yet spoken to police or anyone who may have dashcam or surveillance footage of the accident is asked to call Victoria County RCMP.
