by RCMP say they’ve arrested two young people involved in separate cases of school threats in Eskasoni.
They say on Wednesday morning officers responded to a report of threats circulating online and they learned a young person posted threats of a school shooting on social media.
They say the person was quickly identified and officers found there was no risk to the public.
Police say on Friday morning officers responded to a second report of a school shooting also circulating on social media in relation to a school in Eskasoni.
They say a young person was also identified in that case and officers found there was no public safety risk.
Police say both young people were arrested on the same day the threats were reported and the two will be facing a charge of uttering threats.
They’ve been released on conditions and are due in Eskasoni Youth Court on December 10th.
