The provincial Health Authority says a mock training exercise will take place tomorrow on the construction site at the back of the Regional Hospital in Sydney.
It’s scheduled to happen from 7 in the morning to 6 in the evening.
The exercise is being organized by the construction management team for the expansions at the hospital and will involve Regional Fire Services.
The mock training exercise will use a mannequin to simulate a high-angle rescue from one of the tower cranes and there’s going to be additional activity around the tower crane and on the construction site at the time.
The Health Authority says the exercise is not expected to affect traffic and parking or patient and public safety but people are being asked to allow extra time when coming to the hospital.
People are also being asked to exercise caution and watch for safety crews and signs.
