9,100 healthcare workers in the province have voted to ratify a two-year contract with the health authority and IWK Health.
Their bargaining unit has more than 180 job classifications, including physiotherapists, lab staff, psychologists, continuing care assistants, social workers and pharmacists.
The deal offers wage increases of 3 per cent retroactive to November 1st of last year, and a 2 per cent increase on November 1st of this year.
The agreement also includes increases to shift and weekend premiums and a special adjustment of 2.5 per cent to all classifications except paramedics and continuing care assistants who got targeted increases before or during the new agreement.
The contract runs until October 31st of next year.
