National Inflation Rate Falls To 2.5% In July

Statistics Canada says the national inflation rate in July was 2.5 percent.

That’s down from 2.7 per cent in June.

It’s also the slowest pace for price growth since March of 2021.

The federal agency says the drop in July was led by lower prices for travel tours, passenger vehicles and electricity.

Nova Scotia’s inflation rate in July was 2.3 percent.
