Two Deaths After Recall Of Certain Plant-based Milks

The Public Health Agency of Canada says two people have died after an outbreak of listeriosis trigged a national recall of certain plant-based milks.

Silk brand almond milk, coconut milk, almond-coconut milk and oat milk were recalled earlier this month along with Great Value brand almond milk.

Most of the recalled products have best-before dates up to and including October 4th and a complete list can be found on the government of Canada’s website.

One of the 12 reported cases of listeriosis is in Nova Scotia but Health Canada isn’t saying which province or provinces the people who’ve died are from.

People who have the recalled products should throw them out or return them to the store.
