Provincial Funding Announced For Gabarus Seawall Repair, Other Local Projects

The province has announced funding for a number of upgrading or renovation projects in Cape Breton, as well as funding to upgrade the Gabarus Seawall.

The Regional Municipality will be getting $400,000 to repair the seawall that was damaged during Storm Fiona.

Funding was also announced today for projects at fire departments in Howie Centre, Loch Lomond, Louisbourg, Big Pond and Donkin.

There’s also money for projects being done by a number of community groups, including the Coxheath Hills Wilderness Association, the Cape Breton Ski Club, and Royal Canadian Legions in Port Morien and Louisbourg, as well as the Marion Bridge Community Association, Our Lady of Fatima Parish, the Spanish River Community Centre and the Mira Boat Club.
