Premier Says Province Has An “Agreement In Principle” With The Teachers Union

Premier Tim Houston says the province has what he calls an agreement in principle with the Teachers Union.

Houston says discussions went into late last night and both sides have to work through the language in the agreement.

He says the agreement addresses what he calls the big issues, including classroom conditions and wages.

The agreement comes after both sides started meeting with a conciliator on Monday for what originally was to be two says of talks.

Houston says he sat in on the talks on Monday evening.
