Preparations Underway To Help Unhoused People During Bad Weather

The Department of Community Services says it’s working with its partners to help people without a home ahead of bad weather in the forecast.

It says people looking for support can call 211.

The Department says the Cape Breton Community Housing Association shelter on Townsend Street in Sydney is open 24/7 with expanded capacity as needed depending on the weather.

The Ally Centre on Prince Street is also open 24/7.
