Preliminary Hearing For Man Charged In Death Of David Sheppard

A preliminary hearing is scheduled to start today for one of two men charged in the 2021 death of David Sheppard from Glace Bay.

42 year-old Stephen Troy MacDonald from Glace Bay is charged with second degree murder in Sheppard’s death.

51 year-old Sheppard was attacked inside his Brookland Street home on January 18, 2021, and died nine days later in Halifax hospital.

MacDonald is also charged with break and enter in the case.

27 year-old Dakota Charles Williams form Glace Bay is also charged with second-degree murder in Sheppard’s death and his preliminary hearing in the case started, yesterday.
