Arrest Made After Weapons Call In Howie Centre

A 41-year-old man was arrested at a home in Howie Centre this morning after Regional Police responded to a weapons call.

They say they got called to a home on Tometary Drive at around 7:45, when they got a report of someone possibly being threatened by another person with a weapon.

Police say officers immediately contained the area and blocked roads around the home.

The Emergency Response Team was called in and the man was arrested outside the home just before 9:00.

Police say the other person inside the home was found and is safe.

They say charges are pending.
