CB Unemployment Rate Hits 12.5 Percent In October

Statistics Canada says the national unemployment rate rose .2 percentage points to 5.7% in October.

That marks the fourth monthly increase in the past six months.

Cape Breton’s jobless rate was 12.5 percent last month, up from 11.3 percent in September.

Nova Scotia’s unemployment rate in October was 6.7 percent.
