Rodger Cuzner Appointed To Senate

Former Cape Breton-Canso, Liberal MP Rodger Cuzner has been appointed to the Senate.

The Prime Minister’s office says Cuzner will join four others as independent senators in the upper chamber.

Cuzner was first elected to the House of Commons in 2000, and served as an MP for 19 years.

He most recently served as Consul General of Canada in Boston from 2020 to this year.

Also appointed to the Senate today is Cheticamp lawyer Réjean Aucoin.
