Appointments Open For New Moderna Vaccine

The province says appointments are open for the latest Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

The Health Department says the new monovalent vaccine gives the best protection against the latest strain of COVID.

It says people six months old and older who’ve already had their primary series can get a dose of the updated vaccine if it’s been at least six months since their last COVID-19 vaccination or known COVID-19 infection.

The province says the new monovalent vaccine from Pfizer is expected to arrive late this month or early next month.

It says the regular-dose flu vaccine will be available for people from six months to 64-years-old around the week of October 23rd.
