Bail Hearing Adjourned For Attempted Murder Accused

One of two Eskasoni men facing charges of attempted murder is due back in court later this week after a bail hearing was adjourned today.

42-year-old Justin Noelan Dennis also faces counts of Dangerous Operation of a Vehicle, Uttering Threats and Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon after police were called about an assault on Castle Bay Road on August 2nd.

Police say a 45-year-old man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the attack.

RCMP say Dennis was arrested in New Brunswick last Tuesday.

His case is now due back in court on Thursday.

29-year-old Alfred Joseph Marshall is facing the same charges as Dennis but has decided not to seek bail.

He’s due back in court for a plea hearing on September 5th.
