Attempted Murder Accused Arrested

RCMP say two Eskasoni men wanted for attempted murder have been arrested.

29-year-old Alfred Joseph Marshall and 42-year-old Justin Noelan Dennis were also charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Uttering Threats and Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon after police were called about an assault on Castle Bay Road on Wednesday of last week.

Police say a 45-year-old man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the attack.

RCMP say Dennis was arrested after being found in Tobique First Nation in New Brunswick on Tuesday and Marshall turned himself in in Eskasoni later that day.

Both men are due in Sydney court tomorrow.
