Province Sending Another Crew To Help Fight Yukon Wildfires

The province is sending another crew to fight out-of-control wildfires in Yukon.

It says twenty Department of Natural Resources and Renewables firefighters and one agency representative are leaving today from Halifax Stanfield Airport.

Five of the firefighters on the crew also served on the crew the province sent to Yukon last month.

The government says current fire conditions in Nova Scotia allow its wildfire resources to be shared.

The Department says crews could be pulled back from Yukon if they’re needed at home.
