Applications Opening For Seniors’ Property Tax Rebate

Service Nova Scotia says applications open tomorrow for the 2023 Property Tax Rebate for Seniors.

The program offers eligible seniors a rebate of half of their property taxes, up to $800.

To be eligible, people have to pay their property taxes in full, have their name on the tax forms, and be eligible for the Guaranteed Income Supplement.

Applications are open until December 31^st.

People who got the rebate last year will get an application by mail starting next week.

The application also includes the option to apply for the upcoming Heating Assistance Rebate Program.
