Ottawa also announced today Sydney will be hosting the World Womens’ Curling Championship in March of next year.

The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency says the money announced today will help the Regional Municipality buy and install a new video scoreboard and clock and upgrade its sound and video equipment in preparation to host the curling championship.

It says signs will also be replaced with customizeable LED video signs to create more sponsorship opportunities.
