Regional Council Special Meeting

Regional Council is holding a special meeting this morning at City Hall in Sydney.

The agenda for the meeting is a presentation from Director of Planning and Development Michael Ruus on the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation Housing Accelerator Fund.

The Housing Accelerator Fund launches this summer.

The objective of the Fund is to help create more supply of housing at a faster pace.

Ruus says staff need direction from Council on the Regional Municipality’s participation in the program.
