Frozen Fruit Recalled Over Norovirus Concerns

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall for a brand of frozen fruit because of a possible norovirus contamination.

The recall covers Alasko brand IQF Whole Raspberries and IQF Antioxidant Blend in one and five kilogram packages.

The product has been sold in this province as well as in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec and Ontario.

There have been reports of illnesses linked to the product and the CFIA says it’s conducting an investigation that may lead to the recall of other products.
