Travel And Activities In The Woods Banned Because Of Wildfires

Travel and activities in the province’s woods are now banned because of the ongoing threat of wildfires until June 25th or until conditions allow them to be lifted.

Hiking, camping, fishing and the use of vehicles in the woods is not allowed.

The restrictions apply to Crown and private land.

Forestry, mining and any commercial activity on Crown land requires a permit from the local Department of Natural Resources and Renewables office.

And forestry companies working on Crown land can only work between 8:00 at night and 10:00 in the morning.
