Provincial Fire Crews Leave For Northwest Territories

Twenty Department of Natural Resources firefighters and one agency representative left this morning to help fight out-of-control wildfires near Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

The Department says current fire conditions in the province allow its wildfire resources to be shared.

It says it will continue monitoring conditions and make sure sufficient resources are maintained in the province.

It also says crews could be pulled back from the Northwest Territories if they’re needed at home.
