Millville Man Arrested On May 12th Facing 21 Charges

Regional Police say a 30 year-old Millville man now faces a total of 21 charges as a result of an ongoing investigation after his arrest on May 12th.

Police say they got called to reports of a domestic disturbance at an apartment building on the Esplanade in Sydney just before midnight on May 11th.

They say a man drove away when officers arrived and he was later found and arrested at a home on Maple Hill Drive in Millville.

Police say they seized 2 vehicles, 7 guns, more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition, and numerous other firearms components after searching two homes in Millville.

Colin James Penny faces charges including two counts of Pointing a Firearm, Discharging a Firearm, and Flight from Police as well as single counts of Assaulting Police and Dangerous Operation of a Vehicle.

He’s also been charged with Possessing a Police Article or Police Uniform without Authorization after police say they discovered several pieces of police clothing and equipment believed to be authentic to the RCMP and OPP, during their searches.
