Self-registration kiosks are available at the Northside General Hospital in North Sydney starting, today.
The Health Authority says the kiosks are similar to iPads and allow patients to self-check-in for select pre-booked outpatient appointments.
The Executive Director of Health Services for the Eastern Zone, Michelle DePodesta, says they expect the kiosks will reduce wait times at registration.
Kiosk registration started at the Glace Bay Hospital yesterday and will be available at the Regional Hospital in Sydney starting on Thursday.
The Health Authority says people will still have the option to register in person and some clinics will continue to require face-to-face registration.
