Two Charged In Morris Murder

A man and woman from Eskasoni have been charged with first degree murder in the death of Andrew Carter Morris.

33-year-old Kurt Daniel Gould and 34-year-old Scentina Marie Michael have also been charged with armed robbery in the case.

Police say they found Morris’ body when they responded to a report of a sudden death on Beach Road in Eskasoni on August 9^th, 2021.

Police say a home on 74^th Street in Eskasoni caught fire while Michael and Gould were arrested yesterday.

Michael is due in Sydney Court on Monday while Gould is due to appear on March 16^th.

RCMP say their investigation continues.

They say the Eskasoni detachment and the Fire Marshall’s Office are doing separate investigations into the cause of yesterday’s fire.
