Food Cost Reimbursement Program Still Open

The province is reminding people they still have two weeks to apply to the Fiona Food Cost Reimbursement Program.

The program provides $100 for every household that lost power for at least 48 hours in the aftermath of post tropical storm Fiona to help cover the cost of spoiled food.

The government says more then 117,000 Nova Scotians have gotten cheques from the program so far.

The last day to apply is Friday, December 16th.

The province says other Fiona-related programs will remain open.
