Heat, Hot Water Shutdown Planned At GB Hospital

The provincial Health Authority says there will be a planned heat and hot water shutdown at Glace Bay Hospital starting at 7:00 tomorrow morning.

It says the shutdown is needed for maintenance work and is expected to last about 12 hours.

People will still be able to get into the building but only cold water will be available during the shutdown.

Before the shutdown, the building’s overall temperature will be increased to retain heat and windows and doors will be closed where possible during the shutdown for the same reason.

COVID-19 measures will also remain in place.
