Province Seeks Input In Food Survey

The province is encouraging people to fill out a survey on what government can do to help get more healthy, local food on kitchen tables.

Agriculture Minister Greg Morrow says the government has a goal of having 20 per cent of all the money spent on food in Nova Scotia to be on local food.

He says not everyone has easy access to healthy, local food and the government wants to help change that.

Morrow says input from the survey will be used to help develop a food and beverage strategy for the province

The survey can be found on the provincial government website and will be available until December 23rd.
