CUPE Holding Information Picket Outside Breton Ability Centre, Today

The union for nearly 300 workers at Breton Ability Centre is holding an information picket outside the residential facility this morning.

CUPE says the members of Local 3513 are calling out the Department of Community Services for failing to address what it calls the increasing workplace violence workers are facing at the facility.

The union says the number and frequency of injuries to workers is continuing to rise, and is much greater than the public realizes.

The information picket is scheduled to get underway at 7:30 this morning.
