The Department of Natural Resources says provincial staff are preparing to do more work to remove downed trees and clean up debris caused by storm Fiona.
It says more than 50 staff, depending on need, will be deployed starting next week.
They will work to clear fallen trees and debris, but they don’t have the equipment or expertise to address certain situations like trees that’ve fallen on homes and buildings or are affecting parts of the power grid.
The Department says the government is looking into options to provide that kind of support.
It goes on to say municipalities will help determine who doesn’t have enough support to deal with their situation in a reasonable time.
