Red Cross Announces Fiona Relief

The Red Cross says it’s providing $500 in financial assistance to some people affected by storm Fiona.

It says, starting next week, it will distribute money to eligible households from the most affected areas that have registered with the organization and are not able to meet their basic needs because of the storm.

People who haven’t yet registered with the Canadian Red Cross can do so by calling 1-800-863-6582 between 8 in the morning and 8 in the evening.

They can also go online to www.redcross.ca/hurricanefiona.
