Province Seeking Input On Youth Commission

The province is looking for public input on the creation of a Child and Youth Commission.

The Department of Community Services says the commission will be dedicated to protecting the rights and well-being of children and youth in the province and its work will include reviewing programs and services for children and youth.

A steering committee is holding public sessions across the province this month, including at the Cheticamp Fire Hall on October 23rd and the Gaelic College on October 24th.

People can also give input through a survey on the province’s website until November 10th.

The survey can be found at: https://novascotia.ca/child-and-youth-commission-engagement
