Toll Free Number For Info On Fiona Assistance

The province has set up a toll-free number for people with questions about financial assistance for losses from Fiona.

People can call 1-888-428-2256 on weekdays from 8:30 in the morning until 7:00 at night.

People can also go to Access Nova Scotia offices during regular business hours.

The province is providing $100 for every household that lost power for at least 48 hours to help cover the cost of spoiled food.

Up to $250 is available for every person who has to pay for tree removal from their property

And an extra $250 is available on top of the existing Seniors Care Grant to help with storm repairs.
