Province Providing Healthcare Info Online

The province is now providing a range of information on the healthcare system online.

The information includes the percentage of Nova Scotians on the family doctor waiting list and recruitment numbers for family doctors, nurse practitioners and registered nurses.

The Health Department says some of the information, such as emergency department visits and hospital occupancy percentages, will be updated daily.

It says other information will be updated on what it calls a regular basis as data becomes available.

Waitlists for home care and admissions into long-term care, ambulance offload times and employee satisfaction levels can also be found at novascotia.ca/actionforhealth.
