Bail Hearing Adjourned For Robbery Accused

A bail hearing was adjourned today for a Sydney man charged after a recent convenience store robbery.

36-year-old Shawn Robert Hall is charged with robbery and six breaches of probation and is due back in court next week.

Police say they responded to an alarm at the Needs Convenience on George Street shortly after 11:00 on Sunday night.

They say the clerk reported a man approached the counter threatening he had a weapon and demanded cash.

Police say he left the store with cash and cigarettes but officers caught up to him near Bentinck and George Streets where he was arrested.

Hall now has a bail hearing scheduled for Monday.
